3. LOOKING FOR THE MISSING LINK?
By Donesia Muhammad http://MyIBizHelper.com
So you've finally decided to start your home based Internet
business. You've heard all the rags to riches stories and it
doesn't look like you have to be a brain surgeon to make
money so why not? So you go to all the "guru" sites, sign up
for their newsletters, buy all the ebooks, you start emailing
everyone to tell them about your newfound business. You just
know that you'll make around oh, say $1,000 this first week,
and a couple more by next week.
But wait a minute...Something's wrong?
How come I don't see those emails coming in telling me that I
made a sale? Those newsletters and ebooks said that it's
guaranteed, that it's the same methods they use.
Did I miss that missing link?
You know what I'm talking about. The link that will show me
the exact site that the "gurus" use. The one that tells you
of the perfect business, the perfect ebook to resell, and the
perfect sales letter. You know the link that will do all the
work for you. No set up fees, or monthly fees, just sign up
and check your inbox for all the sales pouring in.
Rrring.. that's your alarm clock waking you up from that
ridiculous dream that you're living in.
So what made you think that because your business is on the
Internet that you don't have to work just as hard as the
person who has a physical storefront business. I guess you're
the same person that fell for all those telemarketing scams
from the '90s!
How are the gurus making money? Through hard work. Guess
what... they've been doing this for years, before the
Internet became popular. You still have to work hard to
become successful. Not everyone has that ambition, or drive
to succeed. Do you?
Can you handle:
--the long hours
--the constant writing, and rewriting
--juggling the balance between work and family
--spending all that time perfecting your site only to have
your computer crash and having to do it all over again
Will you be able to:
--use common sense marketing methods
--learn to write effective advertising
--use your words for an appealing and visual aid
--handle rejection, pick yourself up and do it all over again
If you are, then welcome to the world of entrepreneurs.
Congratulations...

How to Resize Your Images without Using a
Graphics Program
by Candice Pardue
While designing your web pages, you may come
across a graphic image that fits well with your
theme or content, but its size is too small
or too big.
In this case, you'll want to resize the graphic
image to suit your web page needs.
Below are a few things to remember while
choosing the proper size for your graphic:
Make sure the quality remains adequate.
Graphics that are too large may slow down
your page loading time.
Always check your image online to be sure its
there and loading okay after making changes.
There are many sites that offer free graphics
that you can save and use for your own. Many
graphics will appear larger than you actually
want them to when relocated to your web page.
To resize your graphic, simply find your
graphic image tag by viewing your page's HTML
code.
The tag will look similar to this:
<IMG SRC="yourimage.jpg" WIDTH="123"
HEIGHT="168" BORDER="0">
or this:
<IMG SRC="yourimage.gif" WIDTH="123"
HEIGHT="168" BORDER="0">
Once you locate your image tag, simply
resize it by changing the "Width" and "Height"
of the tag. Where you see the numbers "123"
and "168", you will change these numbers
until you reach an image size that is
satisfactory.
Special Tip: Try to size graphics as small
as possible without losing quality to keep
your web pages loading fast.
Remember, keep graphics simple.
