Welcome everyone! I have been busy all week upgrading a lot of things on  my site. I searched and searched all week for a good script to help manage my affiliates and to protect their affiliate links. I finally found a script called Clickbank Manager which is exactly what I needed and at a great price. One of my important factors about getting this script was the great support that I received from the owner Kaviraj Kodai.

I am pretty good with installing Cgi-scripts but when I had a problem with installation, Kaviraj helped me step by step and found that the problem was with my configurations instead of the script itself. He was so helpful I couldn't believe it. Now I can revive my affiliate program with a blast. I'll send you the details in next week's issue.

New Columns

I have started two new columns today both dealing with Ebooks. I wanted to showcase any new ebooks on the market and I also starting thinking about all the other ebooks I have on my hard drive. Internet time for ebooks doesn't last too long. All ebooks get their 15 minutes of fame. But does that mean that you should forget about those ebooks. Of course not. Some of the age old questions that New Marketers are still asking can be found right in these ebooks. So I have started an " Oldies But Goodies " section for those classic ebooks, and a "Hot Off The Press" Section for all the new ebooks out there.

I have also revised and re-invented one of my columns. Before the column would feature any new questions that you may have and all answers would be posted in the next issue.. After a while I wasn't getting much of a response so I discontinued the column, but it's back with a twist. I will bring to you certain topics and subjects which we as Netpreneurs deal with daily and get YOUR opinion on this.  It's called " Voice Your Opinion" . 

Oh and quick tip, these type of columns along with testimonials and signature lines are great free ways to get your name and site out there.

Voice Your Opinion !

 

Many of you are aware that I am a member of the Ideas By Post Discussion List  Recently a lively discussion was started and it was so interesting I decided to share the information with you and get your opinions on the subject.

Thea Swafford from the Targeted Ad Program http://Targeted-Ad.com asked a question about selling ezine subscriber lists. She was wondering what rights do we as subscribers have when a list is sold. 

Should we be allowed to remove ourselves before the list is sold?

What if the new List owner is not family friendly or just down right unethical?

"Where is the ethical fine line in buying and selling of email addresses? If I am to be sold, should I not have a right to say to whom and get a fair percentage of the money? How is this not spam for profit? I just don't get it."

Now I would love to hear everyone's opinion on this. Many of us have purchased subscribers and even took over former newsletters. What problems have you faced from the previous list owners or from the subscribers themselves? Are there any ethical issues involved? I don't knock purchasing subscribers as I plan to do so myself in the future.  Let me know your opinion and I will publish it in next week's issue.

The phrase "The Customer Is Always Right" was pounded into the heads of workers for years. Many, if not most, believed it and behaved as such. It 
became their motto, their creed, their daily mantra.

Recent years has produced people with a more independent way of thinking. Education through many sources, coupled with generational differences, is likely responsible for the development of a 'new-age' thought process. 

Not only don't many no longer think this way, they are not very interested in hearing why it came to be in the first place.

Okay, it's hard to educate people and then force them into a conformist way of thinking. It's the old 'how ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Paree' routine.

Well, guess what 'new-age' guys. The phrase still works.
