Re-Invent
Yourself!
If something is not working, Re-Invent Yourself ! As the internet grows, so should your business. You have to be ready for change and go with the flow. Before you think you're ready to pack it in, have you really tried everything? Maybe you're in the wrong field. Are you doing what you want to do or what you think will make the most money? There is a heavy market out there that is probably congested enough as is, do you need the stress? Sometimes it boils down to creating your niche. Bad cliché, but true. Look at your website as a visitor looking to buy. Check over each page. Devote a certain amount of time each week or at whatever schedule you want, to examine each page for spelling errors, form errors, broken links, add some meta tags. Do a search for other websites in your field. Find out what makes them different from yours. Read articles, and learn what is working and what isn't. Is this something you can do in the long run, or this just a flavor of the month business? Here today, gone tomorrow! If it doesn't work out can you pick yourself back up and start again, or is the financial strain too much? Don't you have a million ebooks stored on your hard drive. Have you even read any of them or did you just want the resell rights? There is so much information in those ebooks. The answer could be right there and you don't even realize it. My site is fairly new, so these are the things that I am doing now so it is always a work in progress.
Accessorize Your Page This is something that I am currently doing. If you are like most of us, you are with a few affiliate programs, but sometimes, you just don't know how to promote them all and make a profit. Target the affiliate program according to the Page If you have an article on cgi-scripts, make a link to an ebook or hard copy book that is related to cgi scripts. Or add a banner to a site that specializes in cgi scripts. You get the idea.. Most retail, discount and supermarkets advertise this way. You can call this a smart of categorizing your products and services. Trust me you will always be a work in progress, but that can also be the fun part too. Don't give up yet. There are days when I just think that this isn't going to work and boom, I get a compliment or double the sales from the day before, and you just perk up again. It does get better. I believe that for myself, you should do the same.

Are You Filtering Your Mail, Or Is Everything a Mess? Clear Up the Clutter in Your Inbox Once you establish yourself online, with your website and your ezine, your email will triple in size, especially with all the ezines you are subscribed to. Now with all the things going into your inbox, you don't want to miss any important emails, especially when money is involved!! Have you learned how to filter your mail? In most email clients you can set your mail to be filtered into different folders based on either the email address, words in the subject heading, words in the body of the email, recipients address' and more. I use Outlook 2000 and filtering has kept me sane all these months. If you are not sure whether your email software or web based mail, has this option, just check the help files. It is pretty common now a days so here are some reasons to have your mail filtered: What can I Filter to Help Me? Email discussion lists: I am a member of several discussion lists, and when we get talking, those inboxes fill up pretty quick and pretty soon, I can't find any of my other mail, so I definitely filter my lists into different folders which are named after each discussion list. Sales Orders: When you receive a payment from Paypal, through a paypal link, it always comes with a header "Notification of Payment Received" Trust me I can spot that heading a mile away from the computer !! You may want to filter these emails, as well as any other payment processing sites you have accounts with, Clickbank, Egold, 2Checkout.com, etc.. Subscription Requests: Always, and I mean Always keep all subscribe requests. If you are using a list host, then filter the emails that your list host sends you when someone subscribes. To make things easier of me, I just filter anything that comes to my subscribe@ezineadhelper.com into a folder. Unsubscribe Request: Same goes for unsubscribe requests. Ad Coops: Are you involved with any ad coops? Before you turn around, your inbox are filled with ads to run, and subscribers to add on, and it looks a mess. Just filter each coop that you are involved with into separate folders. For example I have folders for Ezine King, My Wizard, Ads, Vector Central, Ezines-R-Us, etc. and of course folders for my own Ezine Ad Helper ads. Free Ads: Do you accept free ads for your newsletter? Now that can really add up to a cluttered inbox. Filter anything going to your free ads address for a neat clutter free inbox Junk Mail: Oh I cant stand the amount of junk mail and spam that I receive every day but it does come with the territory. Filter known junk mail addresses straight into your deleted items folder, but don't set it to permanently delete the mail in case there is some mail that might be important. Ezines: You can filter your favorite ezines, based on the title, publisher's name, sender's address, etc. That will you will never miss any good issues :) Maintaining a business online is hard enough. Make things easy on yourself with some easy email filtering.

Time To Laugh...From Yuk It UP! Daily Chuckle
Inside, he noticed a harmless old basset hound asleep on the floor besides the cash register. He asked the store manager, "Is that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?" "Yep, that's him," he replied. The stranger couldn't help but chuckle. "That certainly doesn't look like a dangerous dog to me. Why in the world would you post that sign?" "Because," the owner replied, "before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him."
