In the Beginning, Ignore the Gurus!
===============================================================

by Cheryl Levey

Ok, so this might sound like a rant, but I get really tired
of so-called gurus' sales letters and telling me how lucky
I am to be hearing from them at all because their time is
sooooooo valuable and they are soooo sought after, as
if it's supposed to impress me into a Pavlov's response
to purchase their stuff.

I also hate getting those super time sensitive offers to
buy extremely expensive internet marketing "secrets"
that will only be available for two weeks or until
tomorrow or until 20 copies or sold or whatever.

It gets old, jerking me around emotionally, using
manipulative sales language to get me to think they
have something incredible to offer that basically
guarantees overwhelming success.

Have I fallen for it in the past? You bet. Aren't we
all here trying to make a living and subject at times
to desperate feelings of, "When will it ever happen
for me?"

Which is exactly the state these so-called gurus want
you to be in. Many of them even go so far as to point
blank tell you that they buy everything under the sun
they can find about internet marketing in order to
learn - implying that you should too. What they don't
tell you is that many of those products are given to
them for free to review and those that aren't they buy
to watch their competition. They also fail to mention
that way back when they were in the same financial
stratosphere as you, there was no way they were
buying up everything they could find because they
couldn't afford to do it any more than you can now.
Sure, what they offer is useful, and could certainly
help you get ahead, but you don't have to shell out
$997 to get what you need to be successful.

I'll tell you right here - for free! Ok, you can send
me $997 if you REALLY want to. : ) Trust me on
this, I've paid out a lot of money buying many of
these products to learn (the hard way) what I'm
about to tell you.

I learned the hard way that you really need to decide
what you want before you proceed to go get it. If
you're not sure, do some free internet research before
shelling out hard-earned cash for an internet marketing
manual that, for example, focuses on pay-per-click
advertising when what you really want is step-by-step
instructions on writing great Google ads.

It really is a double-edged sword, so to speak, because
if you don't know your options, you can get lost for years
(literally!) poking around the internet learning about
storefronts, auctions, merchant accounts, clickbank
products, autoresponders, hosting accounts, affiliate
websites, affiliate programs and networks, pay-per-click
advertising campaigns, keyword placement, ezine creation,
article repositories, discussion groups and forums, etc.,
etc., etc......And the next thing you know, you know a lot
about the techniques and tools, but you still aren't making
any money because you haven't started your business yet.

So just do it. Seriously. You HAVE to take action to
succeed. You have to get over the fear that you'll do
something wrong. If you do, you fix it, but you have to
put yourself out there and just do it. Oh, and even if you're
worried that whatever you start with isn't really what you
want to do, do it anyway. You can always make changes
later and hopefully you'll have made some money in the
meantime - which you certainly would not have made
by not putting anything out there. Get started today and
make it urgent!

If a guru's internet marketing manual looks to be perfect
for what you want to accomplish, by all means get it and
use it. But first, decide what you want and plan out how
to go get it. Don't get mired in the guru-speak hard sell
language about how what they are doing will make you
millions. Don't buy everything under the sun in order to
study it before you get started. Could they all be helpful
to you? Absolutely. But would you really have time to
study and implement everything proposed in all of them?

To avoid information burn-out, if you must, buy just one
and then don't even look at the rest until you have done
everything the one manual suggests. In addition (and you
can do this for free), join or regularly visit a helpful online
forum or discussion group to ask for feedback as your
website/business is being built. A good group like this is
worth millions more than any manual anyone could sell
you. In the end, you'll come out a lot happier - and a
lot richer too!

The Secret To Mining Online Gold Using The Hidden
Profits In Digital Resale Products
===============================================================

By Ebong Umana
(C)2004 E.Umana All rights reserved
http://www.vmaison.com

The myth that you can't make money online with resale
digital information products will be EXPLODED right now.
Have you ever heard about the massive profits being made
online selling Digital Resale products (videos, audios,
ebooks and software) even with the stiffest competition?

Unfortunately, some people claim that its virtually
impossible to make money with reprint rights digital
information products because of all the competition.

Most likely you'll see these same people on Ebay(Rank
Amateurs)selling products that sold thousand of copies at
$50.00 or more for a mere $4.00 or $5.00.

Professionals on the other hand, The internet Gurus and
average janes/joes quietly bring in huge amounts

selling resale rights products and massively outselling
the competition in a supposedly saturated market.

The amount of money being made selling resale rights
products is truly staggering and the prices to obtain these
resale rights won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Many new products with resale rights come on the market
almost everyday. its huge and many more people come online
for the very first time, with the vast majority of them
looking for internet business opportunities.

To underscore this point go to any major search engine and
type in the word "home based business opportunity" and
you'll get hundreds of thousands of search results or if
you use Overture's suggestion tool, you'll see how many
people searched for that one phrase(401,436)in the month
of July alone.

In order to make money with resale rights products, you
need to be able to position yourself to profit in the midst
of massive competition.

To do that you need to present and package your product in
some way that's different, in other words something to make
you standout from the crowd and maintain a theme whether
its products about health, sports, webmaster tools, diets,
making money from home or whatever subject you choose to
pursue.
For example when packaging resale rights products on say
seafood recipes, Don't also include gambling, an "adult"
ebook for couples, or 70 PHP Website Scripts,

These products could be of the highest quality;but
could be perceived as junk bunched together
just to make it large enough to be considered a "mega
package"

What if you happen to be selling Website scripts
and you know how to install them?,make the offer, that for
an extra small fee you would be willing to install them or
you might even offer to install it free of charge.

Always ask yourself before doing all this, What are you
doing that's different from the competition?

Evaluate your goals, the products, the people and the
marketing(that would include killer ads, target market
etc) and have a strong guarantee.

Bottom line: Going the extra mile to be different in your
approach and providing great service are solid keys to your
long term success.

Know your target market, where do they get together?, the
more targeted your prospects, the more likely you are to
have buyers and possibly repeat customers.

Don't make the biggest mistake ever of not selling digital
products because of competition, get out there and make
it happen for you.

Nine Effective Tips For Improving Your Website’s Usability
===============================================================

by Roger Brown

Web usability is perhaps the most important factor in any web
design. This is the driving factor that keeps your visitors
coming back to your website. Given below are a few points that
you need to consider to increase your website’s usability.

Points to consider for improving web usability

1.) Give your visitor what he is looking for

A visitor means business; he is looking for information and
will stay in your site only as long as he gets what he wants.
So provide only relevant information on your homepage that is
specific to your end users. Web logs are the best means of
finding out which keyword your visitor used and for what
purpose he could have visited your website.

2.) Tell your visitor what your site is all about

Often websites are crammed with information in no specific
order making it hard to figure out what the site is all about!
Your site should give information about what it can offer a
visitor on an instant basis. You can do this by providing
relevant information on the homepage. You can also provide
links like ‘about us’ or ‘about this website’ for further
clarification.

3.) Provide site wide links

Site wide links are very important in any website. They allow
easy navigation to all pages and reduce time consumed on
browsing the pages. Your user can have instant access to what
he is looking for from any webpage using the site wide links.
They also allow the search engine robots to cache your pages
efficiently. Site wide links can be provided at the bottom of
all web-pages.

4.) Provide a sitemap

A sitemap is the mark of a good website. Sitemaps give the
skeleton of an entire site on a single webpage with all links.
As site maps are specifically meant to provide site information
they can lead to efficient browsing.
